Eltz Castle

Paris was absolutely incredible! But we decided to end out trip in Germany.

After arriving in Germany last night, we are excited to begin the last leg of our journey checking out all that Germany has to offer. First, we decided on another castle to explore!

The second castle we decided to visit was the Eltz Castle. The route up was a 45 minute walk through the forest surrounding the castle. This German castle was quite the medieval fortress! It was incredible to see the impressive architecture built around trade routes during the medieval times. It was very interesting to discover that it was truly three castles in one with different families living in each. We spent the full day roaming from room to room in awe of the glorious lives of the rich and famous!

While enjoying the castle, we ate at one of the beautiful restaurants the castle offers to tourists. We’ll take some Schnitzel with French fries and a salad if you please!!

After the castle, we enjoyed two short train rides. We traveled from Moselkern, where the castle was located to Cologne. From there, we enjoyed another short trained ride to Koblenz where we stayed in the G Hotel close to the station.

Early the next morning, we hopped on a bus and road 6 and half hours to the Berlin Wall.
